Skier charged with assault after Copper Mountain incident

SUMMIT COUNTY — A skier who flipped into the crowd during a pond skimming event at Copper Mountain has been charged with assault.

Hayden Wright, 27, is charged with third-degree assault and reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors.

A photographer with the Summit Daily captured the exact moment Wright launched himself into the unsuspecting crowd on April 14.
