The Denver Police Department has had to take extra measures after unsanitary conditions hindered a death investigation in the area of West 50th Avenue and Tennyson Street.

A body was found inside a home on the 4400 block of W. 50th Avenue - near the Willis Case Golf Course, according to DPD. The cause of death and identity of the person haven't been released.

It’s unclear if the death is being considered suspicious.

9NEWS has confirmed the home belongs to 69-year-old Charles Frary who's been missing for more than a year. Neighbors say he was last seen October 2016. He was officially reported missing February 2017.
