Maeve Drake's last Christmas was filled with her familiar laughter, and trademark deep voice, as she introduced her date for the party: A Mr. Jim Beam.
"She had a great personality - hilarious - always making jokes," her daughter Maggie Acton says.
Maeve Maguire caught our attention earlier this month, when we saw her obituary. It says she was "The Voice of the Broncos" for 17 years.
You see, Maeve's voice wasn't the voice fans heard at Denver Broncos games, but it was the voice of the office. Maggie says her mom was made for her job - the front desk receptionist for the Denver Broncos.
She greeted visitors, and answered phones, and in that way, she truly was the team's voice.
"You wouldn't have forgotten my mom if you met her," says Acton. "She was just a very welcoming, kind nice person."
Drake was with the Broncos for the glory years, with the rings to prove it.
Dove Valley is where she landed after a career as a flight attendant for the old Braniff Airlines.
But, Drake's favorite team was her home team, made of seven kids and four grandchildren. They were the greatest source of pride for the woman who loved to proclaim herself the Voice of the Broncos.
Maeve died Feb. 9 at 72-years-old, in her Denver home.
