Will somebody please get that Nugget a nickname?

You'll see a bunch of players in the Denver Nuggets' new ad campaign, like Nikola "The Joker" Jokic, Will "The Thrill" Barton... and Gary "Gary Harris" Harris.

The Denver Nuggets are trying to get your attention, besides being just one game out of the final playoff spot in the NBA Western Conference.

The team has an ad campaign showcasing the nicknames of its star players.

You can see Nikola "The Joker" Jokic at Sixth and Lincoln Avenues.

And just around the corner from "The Blue Arrow" is Gary Harris.

"He's the man with no nickname," said Jason Kosmicki, the voice of the Nuggets on Altitude AM 950. "He says he has a nickname. He says people call him 'G' or 'G Money,' but there's only about 65 million people on the earth that have that nickname."

Even Kosmicki has more of a nickname than the Nuggets leading scorer.

"Only my mom calls me Jason, everybody else just calls me Koz," said Kosmicki.

Harris embraces the lack of a nickname. The Nuggets produced a YouTube video of a mock movie trailer.

"Featuring Will Barton as 'The Thrill.' Gary Harris as 'Gary Harris,'" the voiceover said in the ad.

"If there was one guy on this team that didn't have a nickname, he's so plain that it would be him," said Kosmicki. "He's like a mechanic that just does all the dirty work and kind of goes on with his business."

It would actually help Koz at work if Harris had a legit nickname.

"What made this difficult is at the trading deadline, the Nuggets picked up Devin Harris," said Kosmicki. "When they're out on the floor at the same time, you don't want to be a rookie play-by-play guy and start calling them by their first name, you know, 'over to Gary, now over to Devin.' If you do that, you can just be like Johnny Most, 'Number 14 throws it to the sweaty guy, sweaty guy throws it to the hairy guy.'"

He's considering tapping into the early 90s for a nickname for someone born in 1994.

"When you have questions and you're searching for answers, a lot of times you just got to go back to Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre," said Kosmicki. "I think what I might do is when he hits a three, say 'Harris for three in the corner. Got it! That's nothing but a G thang, baby."
