There's a day for everything.

In March alone, people celebrate Pecan Day, Fragrance Day there's even an Ear Muff Day. Well, now one local school is adding one more unique day to the month and it's very special.

Yesterday, The Academy in Westminster celebrated Blake's Day. It's in honor of this little guy, Blake Matthews.

He's in kindergarten at the school and right now he's battling brain cancer. Blake is about to start radiation - that means he won't be able to attend school for a while.

So, the school decided to send him off right and dedicated an entire day to him. Students and staff wore red, which is Blake's favorite color.

They also either made a card or donated one dollar to his family. In all, Blake received more than 1,000 cards and almost $8,000.

Today, they gave him the cards. It was his last day at school. If you would like to donate to Blake, head to this link.
