After stepping down from his head football coach position at Valor Christian in December of last year, the three-time state champ is now going to coach for Arapahoe High School.
In a letter shared with 9NEWS sent to Arapahoe High's football families, Rod Sherman announced he was going to take over the football program there with a parent meeting scheduled for Tuesday night.
"I am currently meeting with your sons as I am excited to announce that I am the new Head Coach for the Arapahoe football program." the letter reads.
He went on to thank Arapahoe Athletic Director Pat McCabe and Principal Natalie Pramenko for giving him the position.
Before this position, he'd been with Valor Christian since 2007 in various roles, moving up from assistant head coach (during which time the team won five state championships) to head coach in 2013 and then won three more in 2013, 2015 and 2016.
The Warriors will look to improve on their 3-7 season last year.
