The Colorado Rockies have announced plans to redevelop the west parking lot next to Coors Field, adjacent to 19th & Wazee streets.

The "West Lot" transformation, which will span three acres, is one of the largest parcels of land for redevelopment in Lower Downtown (LoDo), connecting to Union Station and RiNo.

The Rockies — who will serve as the lead developers — call it a "critical connection point."

The project will span an entire city block and include hospitality, office, residential, retail, entertainment, and food and beverage spaces centered around a Rockies Hall of Fame facility and outdoor plaza.

Stantec, an Edmonton, Alberta, Canada-based engineering and firm, will lead the project's design. Its Boulder-based visioning, brands and experiences group is the lead experience designer, while its Chicago-based architecture group will be the developer of a hotel that will kickstart the redevelopment.
