Snow prevented Broncos from watching Colts' last game on film

That's what snow looks like, Denver.

It’s well known that NFL teams watch film of their upcoming opponent each week to game plan for what they’re going up against.

But thanks to a crazy snowstorm in Buffalo last week, the Broncos weren’t able to watch much film of the Colts’ last game against the Bills.

“We tried to watch it but you can’t,” Denver coach Vance Joseph said after practice Tuesday. “You can’t see it. You can’t see numbers. They’re wearing all white. It wasn’t worth watching.

“I watched about 15 plays and I couldn’t see anything. We pulled it out of our breakdown. We’re on a three-game break down which is right for us.”

Last week’s film may not have helped the Broncos prepare for Indianapolis, anyway. The Colts’ offense won’t be battling a foot of snow in their domed Lucas Oil Stadium and they’re probably not going to run 46 times against Denver like they did in Buffalo.

Still, not being able to watch your opponent’s film from the previous week is a unique scenario. The Broncos have plenty of other games to review, though, and they’re considered 2.5-point road favorites.
