Vail Resorts offers virtual assistant

A new virtual assistance service aimed at helping snowboarders and skiers is rolling out at Vail Resorts.

“What we are doing is making easy to access all that information and bring it into one place,” said Stacey Pool, VP of Marketing at Vail Resorts.

It’s a brand new, first-of-its-kind, virtual assistant that will tell skiers and snowboarders everything they might want to know on the slopes.

Just send Emma a text and she’ll send you information on everything from snow conditions to which runs have been groomed.

“We evaluated what are the most common things people asked for and we provide information on those topics,” said Pool.

In the next few weeks, it will be tested with employees, and then next season Emma will be everywhere.

“It will be available to our guests at nine of our resorts,” said Pool.

The service will be acting a lot like those friendly information people, only Emma will go with you anywhere.

“The opportunities are endless to us now in terms of where Emma can exist,”’ said Pool.
