DENVER - If you have not bought your holiday cards, may we make a suggestion, oncology patients at The Children's Hospital have designed holiday cards to benefit the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Each year, patients from the Cancer Center craft holiday designs, and the winning designs are transformed into holiday cards and sold between October and January.
This year, the winners year include: Caleb Pape, 14, Caroline Stratton, 10, Tanner Kretzer, 8, Abigail Voorhis, 7, Anna Queen 10, Lizzy Lawton, 7, and James Bissonnette, 13. In addition to winning the holiday card design contest, the artists will receive a cash award and a special plaque from the Holiday Card Project.
Proceeds from the sale of greeting cards help to fund a range of services at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Last year, proceeds helped fund items that improve patient care such as: wigs, medical bracelets, and eye exam equipment, as well as, teaching materials and equipment for the research department.
