WESTMINSTER - Purple ribbon swing sets, sculptures, flowers and a zip-line are all included in the future plans for the Jessica Ridgeway Memorial Park.
"The theme is centered on the whimsy and movement of ribbon to express - in subtle ways - Jessica's enjoyment of cheerleading and her exuberance and spirit," the Westminster Legacy Foundation said in a statement.
The foundation released some preliminary designs of the park Saturday.
In November, the City of Westminster voted to rename Chelsea Park to Jessica Ridgeway Memorial Park. The park is where Jessica intended to meet friends the morning she was abducted and murdered last September.
A large display of balloons, stuffed animals and other items left in the 10-year-old's memory were removed from the park in mid-October of 2012 at the family's request.
Officials say planners are working with Jessica's family to develop the theme.
City funds are being used and donations will also be accepted.
