KUSA - Dolce & Gabanna is the latest luxury fashion brand to launch a designer fragrance made for babies.
Co-founder Stefano Gabbana told the New York Daily News that the perfume is meant to caputer "the softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother's sweet hug [and] the first smile."
The perfume will be alcohol-free and have a citrus and honey scent. The perfume will be priced at $45 per 50ml bottle.
D&G is not the first major designer to release a baby perfume line, Burberry and Bvlgari both have their own tot-inspired fragrances.
Jen Markham from Buzz 60 explains why it's difficult for high-priced luxury baby fragrances to improve on a baby's natural scent.
"Don't babies already smell great?" She said. "Why do we need D&G when we have J&J (Johnson and Johnson,) a $4 classic."
