BOULDER - Everybody knows about Tebow and now another celebrity wants you to know about Veebow.
Veebow is the newest company to take on the online group coupon craze. The difference is coupons through Veebow are free.
The celebrity behind Veebow is Valerie Bertinelli. Veebow is her namesake which was created by her husband and his business partner.
"The merchants have just a good a deal as the consumers. First of all, they don't get their money held back, and we never hold their money back," Bertinelli said. "The merchants get the money from the consumer immediately and then they pay Veebow but at a very small, fraction of the cost that they pay the other grouponing sites."
Veebow is a free app you can download on your smartphone.
"You [merchants] don't pay Veebow unless someone actually walks into your building," Bertinelli said
Veebow has 150 deals and the company says the deals are increasing daily.
The Veebow team worked with the Boulder-based company Amadeus Consulting to develop the app.
