KUSA - The Department of Labor and Employment will be filling up to 20 positions for Labor and Employment Specialist Interns.

These positions will work in the Department's Unemployment Insurance Call Center, taking calls from persons who want to file an unemployment insurance claim or ask questions about their claims.

You will receive intensive training to be able to take claims, answer questions, make decisions regarding issues after conducting investigative fact-finding, research legal resources, apply knowledge of state and federal statutes and represent the Colorado Department of Labor at appropriate UI appeal hearings.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and be able to read, write and speak fluently in English and in Spanish. You must be able to multi-task in a busy environment. The employer needs candidates with outstanding interpersonal skills and some Call Center experience is preferred.

The anticipated start date for these positions is April 16.
