DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Three apartment complexes in northern metro Denver have sold for a combined $189.5 million.
Two of the properties are located in Broomfield, including Harvest Station Apartments, a 297-unit complex located at 11775 Wadsworth Blvd., which was purchased by Hamilton Zanze Real Estate Fund for $67 million.
Harvest Station was a popular asset because of its proximity to Highway 36, which makes it an alternative to properties closer to Boulder. Boulder has some of the highest average rents in the metro area, according to David Potarf, executive vice president at CBRE Group Inc. and a member of the team that worked on the transaction.
On the other side of the highway in Broomfield, Arista Uptown, a 272-unit apartment complex located in the 200-acre Arista mixed-use development, sold for $65 million to Denver-based Seagate Colorado Partners LLC. The property is located at 8500 Arista Place and was built in 2013.
