Safeway is providing the food for the meal, which includes 850 pounds of ham, 25 cases of green beans, 200 pounds of potatoes, 25 cases of gravy, 10 cases of cranberry sauce, 1,500 dinner rolls and 250 baked fruit pies.
Safeway is also sponsoring a photo booth where families can take free holiday pictures, and Verizon is providing cell phones for people to wish relatives a Merry Christmas.
The dinner starts at 11:30 a.m. and ends around 1:30 p.m. More than 1,700 people are expected to attend.
Over 200 volunteers will help to serve the meal. Safeway says its Denver division has logged over 85,000 volunteer hours in 2012.
