After $60M renovation, old Vail Cascade resort is now Hotel Talisa

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Less than two years after it was sold, the former Vail Cascade Resort and Spa at the Vail has reopened as the Hotel Talisa Vail.

In January 2016, Los Angeles real estate developer Laurus Corp. bought the 292-room hotel from Lowe Enterprises. At that time, Laurus said it would put $35 million into renovating the facility.

On Tuesday, Laurus said the renovations were done, and said it spent upwards of $60 million to renovate the hotel.

Details of the Talisa's renovations, including a substantial price hike for hotel rooms, were detailed by the Denver Business Journal's Ed Sealover in December.
