DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Arizona-based Harkins Theatres has bought the Olde Town Arvada movie theater and will reopen it by fall.
The company says it will upgrade and remodel the theater with plush, leather reclining seats. It will offer reserved seating and have a lobby bar, selling wine and beer.
"Our Northfield at Stapleton location has been the top performer in the state for some time," said Mike Bowers, president and COO of Scottsdale, Arizona-based Harkins Theatres. "With the amazing success of this theater, we have been looking for just the right opportunity to grow. We are very excited we have found it in Arvada."
