DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Beacon Capital Partners LLC, the Boston-based owner of Wells Fargo Center in downtown Denver, has purchased a two-acre River North parcel from a Denver-based company that had big development plans for the site.
Beacon purchased the site at 36th and Blake streets for $19.37 million on Thursday, according to Denver County public records.
The site had been owned by Elevation Group LLC, which planned to construct a hotel on the site, as well as retail and office space that was to house the operations of HomeAdvisor LLC. The overall project was called Hub.
HomeAdvisor in July 2016 said that it would lease 58,000 square feet in the office building proposed at 36th and Blake as it planned to relocate from its current space in Lakewood.
