DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Sunrun Inc., the second-biggest installer of residential solar power panels in Colorado, will get a whole lot bigger in the next few years with the creation of a national corporate office in downtown Denver that will be home to up to 800 jobs.
Lynn Jurich, CEO of San Francisco-based Sunrun (Nasdaq: RUN), said the company was swayed by Denver's wealth of tech talent and the state's support of alternative energy resources.
"We wanted to establish a new national hub and chose Colorado," Jurich said during a press conference on the west steps of the State Capitol in Denver to announce the company's expansion plans.
Sunrun was founded in 2007 and went public in August. It says it is the largest dedicated residential solar company in the U.S.
