Colorado business leaders are feeling good about what's ahead, says CU Boulder report

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - It seems that the political rhetoric in Washington, D.C., has not affected the optimism level of Colorado business leaders.

That's according to results of the latest business-confidence survey from the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business, released today.

The Leeds Business Confidence Index ahead of the second quarter of 2017 is at 63.4 points overall, up 3.1 points from last quarter and 8 points up from the second quarter of 2016.

The survey of 354 Colorado business leaders is meant to assess business leaders' economic expectations going into the new quarter.

Any index reading of 50 points or higher signals a positive outlook. The Colorado index has been in positive territory for 23 consecutive quarters.
