Colorado universities ranked among nation's best by U.S. News

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Colorado School of Mines again ranks highest in the state on the latest U.S. News & World Report annual list of the nation's 220 top "national universities," released Tuesday.

The Golden school ties three other major universities at No. 82 on this year's list. Last year it ranked No. 75.

Among Colorado universities, School of Mines is closely followed on the U.S. News national-universities list by the University of Denver at No. 86 (the same ranking as in 2015) and the University of Colorado Boulder at No. 92 (down a bit from last year's No. 89 ranking).

Colorado State University comes in at No. 129, and the University of Colorado Denver ranks at No. 197.
