Colorado's Dam Good Tacos is sued by Texas competitor in trademark dispute

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Torchy's Tacos, the Austin, Texas-based purveyor of queso and "Damn Good Tacos," is taking a Colorado company to court over its name: Dam Good Tacos.

Success Foods Management Group LLC, the legal name of Torchy's, filed a federal trademark lawsuit April 5 against Dam Good Systems LLC, the Fort Collins, Colorado-based parent of Dam Good Tacos.

Torchy's is seeking monetary damages and wants Dam Good Tacos to turn over social media accounts, website domain names and other promotional materials. The Austin company is represented by Merchant & Gould PC of Denver.
Torchy's now has 50 stores in three states, including a location that opened in September in Fort Collins, which is home to Colorado State University and about 65 miles north of Denver.
