DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Comcast Corp. plans to make a newly acquired Denver company part of its expanding Lower Downtown hub for Internet video technology development.
The Philadelphia-based cable and broadband giant (Nasdaq: CMCSA) bought nine-year-old This Technology last week. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This Technology develops IP ad and video manipulation technology.
Comcast had been a customer of This Technology and liked its ad and Internet protocol video management products enough to want the people behind them on its staff, Comcast chief technology officer Tony Werner told me Tuesday at the Colorado Innovation Network (COIN) Summit underway in Denver.
