DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - A 25-year employee will become the new chancellor of University of Colorado Colorado Springs, CU announced Monday.
Venkat Reddy, who has served as interim chancellor since February, will take over the role effective immediately. Reddy replaces Pam Shocklet-Zalabak, who retired from CU after serving as UCCS chancellor for more than 15 years and 40 years total with the university.
CU President Bruce Benson said Reddy's longtime campus experience and close ties with the community has helped the campus gain "considerable momentum" in recent years.
"He is a thoughtful, collaborative leader who recognizes the challenges facing the campus as well as the opportunities to take it to the next level," Benson said.
