DBJ Offices: Tour DaVinci Institute, a coding school/startup space in Westminster

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - The DaVinci Institute is a think tank and coding school in Westminster, a suburban outpost of co-working space.

Thomas Frey founded the DaVinci Institute 19 years ago after spending time at IBM and has grown it into a space that houses 27 startups and teaches coding classes with the goal of helping people change careers quickly as the modern economy continues to shift at a more rapid pace than in the past.

Frey has launched a "micro-degree" program that requires 1,000 hours of learning. He's working on increasing awareness about the program and others like it in order to make it a more valuable tool in job seeking.

The organization occupies a 14,000-square-foot "laboratory for the future" that houses the DaVinci Institute's eight employees, as well as the co-working space, Frey said.
