DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - There was a lot of art alongside empty galleries on Sunday, the last day the Denver Art Museum's North Building was open before a years-long closure.

The museum waived admission charges Sunday for a "See You Later, North Building" party that included art activities, kids' projects and a DJ playing '70s and '80s music to represent the 45-year-old building's history.
And the 7th floor rooftop observation area -- usually closed to visitors -- was open, offering a spectacular view of downtown Denver.
