Denver energy company expands its pipeline network in Colorado

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - ARB Midstream LLC has acquired a controlling interest in the Platte River Gathering System, a pipeline system that gathers crude oil in the Denver-Julesburg Basin north of Denver.

Platte River’s pipeline system, which started operations in April 2016, is focused on “the heart” of the DJ Basin and has several long-term contracts to carry oil for energy companies, Denver-based ARB said in a statement.

ARB markets and transports crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas and refined oil and gas for energy companies in the DB Basin and greater Rocky Mountain region.

The Platte River pipeline system in Weld County is capable of gathering up to 157,000 barrels per day from wells scattered across more than 40 miles of pipelines. It also includes an unloading facility for trucks at the Lucerne Hub near Lucerne north of Greeley and plans for storage tanks that can hold up to 600,000 barrels of oil, ARB said.
