Denver hosts international construction forum

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - It’s no accident that the eighth annual North American Infrastructure Leadership Forum will be held in Denver next week, Oct. 24-27.

“We’re doing this in Denver two weeks before the election because you’re a purple state and we want to show people that they can get this done [build large infrastructure projects] on a bipartisan basis,” said Norman Anderson, president and CEO of CG/LA Infrastructure Inc., the Washington, D.C.-based international consulting firm that's organizing the leadership forum, which will be at the Ritz Carlton.

On Monday, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback will talk about preparing state and federal agencies to tackle a mounting list of crucial infrastructure projects.

Gov. John Hickenlooper on Tuesday will talk about Colorado’s priority infrastructure projects and his vision for increased infrastructure investment, both in Colorado and throughout the U.S. The three-day forum also includes a tour of Denver Union Station.
