Denver hotel report card in Q1: Occupancy rate down, revenues up

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Denver hotels enjoyed mixed results in the first quarter of 2017.

Hotel occupancy fell slightly, down to 64.7 percent compared with 66.1 percent the same time a year earlier, but revenues increased.

According to hotel research firm STR, Denver hotels' average daily rate (ADR) increased to $117.93 in the latest quarter, up from $144.52 in 2016.

Revenue per available room (RevPar) increased to $76.30 and total revenue increased to $309.9 million in 2017, up from $297 million in 2016.
