Denver to host EPA hearing on CO2 cuts

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Interest in the Environmental Protection Agency's proposal to cut the nation's emissions of carbon dioxide by 30 percent by 2030 is running very high.

The hearing will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, July 29-30, at the Region 8 building at 1595 Wynkoop St. in LoDo.

Denver is one of four locations for public hearings the EPA will hold on the issue next week. The other locations are Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Pittsburgh.

And while the EPA said on Thursday that there were still some open speaking slots for the Pittsburgh hearings, the slots in Denver, D.C. and Atlanta are all full.
