Dish loses 116K net subscribers in Q3

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Dish Network Corp. lost about 116,000 net subscribers in the third quarter, compared with a loss of only 23,000 net subscribers a year earlier.

The Douglas County-based satellite company reported revenues rose slightly to $3.75 billion from $3.73 billion in 2015.

Net income rose to $307 million, or diluted earnings of 64 cents, from net income of $196 million, or diluted earnings of 42 cents a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters First Call expected third-quarter earnings of 68 cents and revenues of $3.74 billion.
