No, not because they operate a manufacturing plant in the state, but because they name vehicles after cities in Colorado.
Remember the Oldsmobile Aurora? Don’t feel bad if you don’t. Oldsmobile only made the Aurora from 1994 to 2003, before General Motors phased out Olds in 2004. And there’s a good chance that Olds wasn’t thinking about the Colorado city when it came up with the Aurora name.
Dodge is still making the Durango pickup truck, which it introduced in 1997. Durango: A manly-sounding truck named after a manly-sounding city.
