DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Another month, another grim set of performance stats for Frontier Airlines.
For a second month, the Denver-based “ultra low cost carrier” remained in last place among 12 major carriers for on-time performance in August, according to Friday’s latest Air Travel Consumer Report from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Frontier posted an on-time arrival rate of 65.9 percent for the month, versus the 12-airline average of 77.6 percent. The Denver carrier finished well behind Spirit Airlines’ second-to-worst on-time rate of 71.8 percent.
Frontier is the No. 3 carrier at Denver International Airport by passenger counts.
