Glenwood Springs Hotel Denver owners buy Redstone Castle

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - The historic 23,000-square-foot Redstone Castle, with its 21 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, has been sold to the owners of the Hotel Denver in Glenwood Springs.

Hotel Denver owners Steve and April Carver bought the historic Redstone Castle for $2.2 million at an auction held last month.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a precious piece of history. Acquiring the extraordinary Redstone Castle will be an exciting new adventure and an opportunity to revitalize this celebrated jewel of Colorado," the couple said i n a statement on the castle's website.

The castle was built at the turn of the 20th century by John Cleveland Osgood, who founded the community of Redstone, the Denver Business Journal reported in September.
