DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - When it comes to flying and cash, much of the recent conversation in Denver has focused on ticket costs and Denver International Airport’s massive billion-dollar deals for renovations and new gates.
But a recent study says the average American traveler is spending $141 before they even board their plane.
Airfare aggregator Jetcost surveyed 4,976 American adults who had recently flown, asking them how they killed time while waiting at the airport. The average reported wait time at an airport was three hours and 20 minutes, and the top five responses were:
- Listened to music
- Read a book/magazine
- Ate and drank
