It didn’t take long for restaurateur Richard Sandoval’s Zengo, a Riverfront Park mainstay for 13 years, to shut its doors after a major makeover. And it took even less time for word to emerge of a new restaurant to fill the space.

The new eatery is a project of Chad Michael George, Kade Gianinetti and Jared Schwartz, the partners behind northwest Denver’s The Way Back (4132 W. 38th Ave.) and American Grind (3200 Pecos St.).

According to Westword, a chef and managers have not been hired yet , although plans are for “very seasonal and vegetable-driven” menu subject to the new chef's input.
