Intrawest Q4 loss grows; 'challenging' season at Eastern resorts

Intrawest Resort Holdings Inc., operator of the Steamboat and Winter Park ski areas in Colorado, reported declining fourth-quarter earnings but increasing fiscal 2016 earnings.

The Denver company (Nasdaq: SNOW) reported a quarterly loss of $1.49 per share, larger than the $1.19 loss reported a year earlier and larger than analysts' expectations.

Total revenue slipped to $65 million from $70 million a year earlier.

Conditions at Intrawest's East Coast resorts were blamed partially for the fourth-quarter results, officials said.
