Landmark Denver eatery moving, expanding after 43 years

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - La Loma Mexican Restaurant, a fixture in Denver's Jefferson Park neighborhood near the Broncos' stadium of 43 years, is moving and expanding.

The family-owned eatery, located at 2527 W 26th Ave., is moving to an undisclosed downtown location, and the owners say they will build a second "flagship location" in the Platte Valley near the Downtown Aquarium.

There are also plans for a Castle Rock restaurant.

The lease is up at the existing site. "We've outgrown our current location, and we want to serve our loyal guests more efficiently," owner Mark Brinkerhoff said. "We also want to bring La Loma to new neighborhoods. We'll continue to showcase our food, and appreciation for our guests, and honor the history of La Loma."
