DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Liberty Global plc -- John Malone's international cable and broadband provider -- said Wednesday it has reached a deal with Netflix Inc. covering all of the more than 30 nations where it operates.
Under the deal, customers of Colorado-based Liberty Global in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean will be able to stream Netflix movies, series and other programming via their set-top boxes, simplifying access to the video-content provider.
Liberty Global already provides Netflix programming to its United Kingdom customers via its Virgin Media unit, which it acquired in 2013.
The "multi-year partnership ... will lead to Netflix’s content being made available to Liberty Global video customers across more than 30 countries around the world," the Colorado-based company said.
