Metro Denver's 13 best Halloween events for 2016

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - The leaves are falling, the air is crisper, the days are shorter and Halloween is just around the corner.

It's that time of year people get to don costumes to become someone (or something) else, kids get free candy, and people tell ghost stories and watch horror films.

It's also a time when metro Denver attractions celebrating the holiday open — everything from terrifying (and gruesome) haunted houses and late-night costume parties for adults, to corn mazes and family-friendly festivals for the kids.

Halloween may fall on a Monday this year, but there's plenty to do beforehand to get your annual thrill.
