DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - If someone wanted to buy a restaurant in Colorado in the first quarter of the year, they would have had 62 to choose from.
They would have been looking at spending about $277,000 on a restaurant that had median revenue of about $500,000 and median cash flow of about $96,190.
The restaurants were among the 496 small businesses up for sale in the first quarter of 2017, according to quarterly insight report by BizBuySell.com, an online business for sale marketplace. There were 143 retail stores, 210 service businesses and 19 manufacturing businesses in the mix.
The good news for buyers was that there were more small businesses up for sale than at the same time last year — about 11 percent more. And, the median asking price was down about 19 percent from last year.
