National career college chain to close 2 Colorado campuses

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Zenith Education Group is no longer accepting new enrollments at 21 of its career colleges and training schools nationwide, including Altierus campuses in Thornton and Colorado Springs.

The 21 Altierus and WyoTech campuses have stopped enrolling new students and will close once current students can complete their programs or pursue other options. WyoTech is a mechanical-training chain.

Meanwhile, three Altierus schools will remain open, in Houston; Tampa, Florida; and Norcross, Georgia.

Zenith plans to reach out to local educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and community groups to see if they’re interested in using the facilities being vacated.
