DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Five national retail stores and at least six pop-up stores are in the throes of opening at Colorado Mills in Lakewood ahead of the holiday shopping season.
"It just so happened they were ready to open before the holidays," said Brenda Cleary, Colorado Mills director of marketing and business development.
The new stores are opening at the end of October and the first of November in time for the mall's biggest shopping quarter, Cleary said. The result will be a nearly full mall with 220 retail stores through the holidays.
"The fourth quarter is always our highest traffic and even stretches into January when people are spending in the after holidays sales and using gift cards."
