DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - It seems the third quarter of 2016 was a good time to sell a small business in metro Denver.
There were 54 sales, compared to 35 in the second quarter and 29 in the first quarter of this year, according to the San Francisco-based BizBuySell.com and BizQuest.com, which recently released its Q3 2016 Insight Report that tracks business listings and sales.
"Fifty-four is a lot for Denver," said Bob House, president of BizBuySell.com and BizQuest.com.
“The No.1 reason people sell is retirement," House said. "There is a large wave of boomers reaching that age. We are seeing record transactions this year.”
