Sheryl Sandberg shoots down White House rumors

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg is demurring from reports that she will join the White House as a cabinet member if Hillary Clinton wins the presidential election.

TechCrunch reported Wednesday that during the Virtuous Circle conference in Menlo Park, Calif., Sandberg said, “I’m staying at Facebook,” when asked if she were being considered as secretary for the U.S. Treasury Department or Commerce Department.

Sandberg is no stranger to Clinton or the White House. She first worked in Bill Clinton’s administration as chief of staff to Larry Summers, the Treasury Secretary. She left D.C. in 2008 to join Google.
