TeleTech acquires health-services tech company

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - TeleTech Holdings Inc. said today it has acquired Connextions Inc., a health-care technology and services company, for $80 million.

The Douglas County-based call-center operator and business-process outsourcing company (Nasdaq: TTEC) bought the business from OptumHealth Holdings LLC, part of UnitedHealth Group Inc.

“Connextions delivers member acquisition, retention and engagement services to health-care plans, providers and pharmacy benefits managers to drive growth, improve health outcomes and lower costs,” TeleTech said in today’s announcement.

TeleTech said it expects the acquisition to add about $115 million in annual revenue. It said that with the acquisition, it expects its annual health-care business revenue to grow to more than $300 million.
