DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Topgolf International Inc. said it's going to try again and develop a golfing facility in Thornton.
Last month, Topgolf backed away from opening its second Colorado location, at a site east of Interstate 25 on 136th Avenue in Thornton, after a neighbor sued and challenged the project.
This time, Topgolf is looking at building a new facility near I-25 and 160th Ave. in Thornton in the Larkridge shopping center.
Topgolf told the city that it plans to build a 64,000-square-foot facility with 120 hitting bays on the site.
"Topgolf creates unforgettable family-friendly experiences for golfers and non-golfers alike, with fun and competitive golf games for all ages, climate-controlled hitting 'bays,' an impressive food and drink menu, including a full-service bar, private spaces for groups of any size, HDTVs to watch the big game, and a great music selection," Topgolf's attorneys wrote the city.
