DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - If you're looking for a job in one of the hottest markets, you might try looking into cybersecurity jobs.
According to Level 3 Communications Inc. of Broomfield (Nasdaq: LVLT), there's going to be a shortfall of 1.5 million cybersecurity jobs in the next three years, growing from the 1 million job openings that there are currently.
Level 3 cited research by Cybersecurity Ventures, which indicated that $1 trillion will be spent globally on cybersecurity from 2017 to 2021, and that "all signs point towards a prolonged cybersecurity workforce shortage through at least 2021."
"Cybercrime fueled a cybersecurity market explosion over the past five years, leading to to one million cybersecurity job openings entering 2016," said Steve Morgan, founder and CEO of Cybersecurity Ventures, in a statement.
