LAKEWOOD - Buying lottery tickets for the last several decades has finally paid off for a man in Lakewood.

A man by the name of Greg claimed his 9.9 million dollar jackpot Friday morning at the 7-Eleven store where he bought the ticket at 9200 West Alameda Avenue.

Last Wednesday, Greg said he got up and checked his lotto ticket numbers. When all six numbers matched, he couldn’t believe his eyes and had his 77-year-old mother double check the ticket.

Greg says his strategy has so always been to play and pray.

And that seems to be a good game plan considering this isn't the first time he's had luck with the lottery.

Greg won $2,500 about six-months ago after buying a lottery ticket from the same store.

As for what he plans to do with the large chunk of change? He’s planning on trading in his Toyota Camry for a Lexus and is also planning a trip to Alaska with his mom.
